Benzac AC 5 Wash 100g is a medicated, water-based wash-off treatment used for the topical management of mild to moderate acne vulgaris. It is suitable for use on the face, as well as larger body areas prone to acne like the chest, shoulders, and back.
- Active Ingredient: It contains 5% benzoyl peroxide (5g per 100g in an aqueous gel base), an effective agent that kills up to 94% of acne-causing bacteria and helps unplug blocked pores (blackheads and whiteheads).
- Formulation: The water-based gel formula also includes Acrylates Copolymer (AC) beads which help absorb excess oil and release glycerin to moisturise the skin, reducing dryness and irritation.

- Wet the affected area of the skin with water.
- Apply a small amount of the wash to the areas with acne, avoiding contact with eyes, eyelids, lips, and other mucous membranes.
- Rub in gently with fingertips and leave it in contact with the skin for 30 seconds.
- Rinse off thoroughly with water and gently pat the skin dry.
- Frequency: Use once or twice daily, as tolerated

- Skin Sensitivity: Mild burning, redness, or peeling is normal during the initial weeks of treatment. If excessive irritation or swelling occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
- Sunlight: Avoid excessive exposure to strong sunlight or UV light while using this product; use a suitable sunscreen if exposure is unavoidable.
- Bleaching Warning: Benzoyl peroxide can bleach or discolour hair and dyed fabrics, so use with care and wash hands thoroughly after use.
